Welcome to La Orilla, where we celebrate Spanish style dining in a casual al fresco atmosphere.
Our menu features Modern American dishes made with classic New England and world cuisine influences. We take care to source most of our seafood and produce as locally as possible–often from our herb and vegetable garden!–and all items are prepared in-house by the kitchen. Our menu represents the best of Maine, while also expressing a Spanish-inspired twist that is mirrored by our dynamic wine list and specialty cocktails. From a glass of wine or a sip of sangria, to tapas or a full course meal, we invite you to enjoy deliciously different dining on "la orilla" [the shore].
Owners and siblings Matt and Alexandra Haight share years in the restaurant industry and a passion for exceptional cuisine.
Following her graduation from Ithaca College in 2014, Alexandra returned to her hometown of Ogunquit to become an established entrepreneur. Her business background and over a decade in hospitality were the perfect cocktail to create a new, exciting small business located in the heart of this renowned seaside destination. As Executive Chef, Matt has nearly ten years of training in fine dining kitchens throughout New England and Puerto Rico, such as Hen of the Wood, Noche, Central Provisions, Tipo and Clay Hill Farm.
Together, this duo and a team of young, ambitious culinary minds join to create the experience that is La Orilla Tapas + Specialty Cocktails.
